Look What We Grew!

We were having some work done on the yard a few weeks ago (new planter box for Kristin's veggies and herbs, new sod and sprinkler system, etc). Part of the work was to trim back a lemon tree that the former owners had let go and which was being held together with strips of garden hose. Anyway, as we talked about it, I gestured at the tree and looked over when a lemon caught my eye. I said something like, "Hey, that's weird-looking," and kept talking while I went to give it a little tug and see if it wanted to come off yet. That's when I got a better look at it.

I took this picture immediately and sent a copy to Kristin, who posted the link all over the web. The logs show we had around 5000 unique visitors last month. Boy, people will gawk at anything. :-)
